03

Children who are ill, have a fever, are vomiting, have diarrhea, show symptoms of a contagious illness, or cannot comfortably participate may not remain in care. Prompt pickup and medical clearance may be required.

Medication is administered according to Maryland child care regulations. Required authorization and health-care-provider documentation must be completed, and medication must be labeled in its original container.

We use positive guidance and age-appropriate redirection. Corporal punishment, humiliation, threats, and harmful forms of discipline are never used.

Families are provided with our annual holiday and scheduled closure calendar. During inclement weather or emergencies, Expanding Minds will notify families promptly of delays, early closings, or closures.

Tuition reserves a child’s space and remains due during family absences and scheduled closures, including program vacations, holidays, and inclement weather closures.
