Founded by Paulette Batts-Richardson, Expanding Minds was created from a passion for providing children with a safe, nurturing environment while building a strong educational foundation.
Our program combines the personal attention and family atmosphere of a home-based child care setting with intentional educational experiences that promote academic, social, emotional, physical, and developmental growth.
We are proud of the lasting relationships we have developed with our families and of watching children who began their journey with us grow into confident, capable students.
Paulette Batts-Richardson
Paulette is the founder and Director of Expanding Minds Child Care, which she established in 2011.
Paulette Batts-Richardson has been a licensed child care provider since 2011. She is passionate about creating an environment where children feel safe, loved, encouraged, and excited to learn.
Paulette has completed college-level coursework and continues her professional development in early childhood education. Her philosophy extends beyond traditional child care. She believes children should be challenged according to their individual abilities and given a strong academic foundation that prepares them for kindergarten and beyond.
